Job Responsibilities
As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining and optimizing our development and deployment processes. You will work closely with our development team to ensure smooth and efficient operations, leveraging your knowledge of AWS services, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines. Your contribution will be crucial in maintaining the stability and security of our applications.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Support the deployment, monitoring, and management of applications on AWS/Google Cloud and On-premises.
- Collaborate with developers to streamline the deployment process and ensure continuous integration and delivery.
- Monitor application performance and reliability using tools like New Relic.
- Implement and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Ensure security best practices are followed in the deployment and operation of applications.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving deployment and infrastructure issues.
- Assist in the setup, maintenance, and optimization of our CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Document processes, systems, and configurations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Basic understanding of AWS services
- Familiarity with GitHub and experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD.
- Basic knowledge of web security practices in a DevOps/DevSecOps context.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like New Relic.
- Understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
Other Qualifications
- Previous hands-on experience with AWS and AWS Certifications are a big plus
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Strong scripting skills using languages such as Python and Bash.
- Understanding of DevOps and Agile methodologies.
