Phishing in Japan keeps growing. The Council of Anti-Phishing Japan received 2,454,297 reports in 2025, about 1.43 times the 2024 total. Publishing a DMARC record is no longer enough, because regulators and industry bodies now expect domains to reach p=reject. That takes tooling, report analysis, and often outside help. So which DMARC solutions in Japan are worth shortlisting? This guide groups them by buying model: global platforms with Japanese distributors, domestic platforms, and managed services. We checked each vendor against its own pages, press releases, and Japanese review sites in October 2026, and we flag anything we could not confirm.
Why Do Organizations in Japan Need DMARC Solutions in 2026?
DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting and Conformance) is an email authentication protocol that checks domain alignment by linking the technical authentication results of SPF (Sender Policy Framework) and DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) directly to the visible “From:” header seen by the email recipient. The domain owner publishes a policy in DNS that tells receiving servers what to do with mail that fails DMARC alignment: none, quarantine, or reject. Three moves since September 2025 turned that policy into a board-level topic in Japan.
- MIC, September 1, 2025. The ministry asked four telecom industry associations to push members toward DMARC at quarantine or reject, on both the sending and receiving side, and to report progress every three months through August 2026. It is administrative guidance, not a law (ScanNetSecurity).
- JSDA, October 15, 2025. After a surge in securities account takeovers, the association revised its internet trading guideline. Member firms must identify the domains they email customers from, review DMARC reports, then set the policy to reject (IT Leaders).
- Council of Anti-Phishing Japan, June 1, 2026. The 2026 guideline treats sender authentication as a required item and recommends p=reject as the end state (ScanNetSecurity).
DMARC adoption in Japan is high, but strict enforcement remains critically low. According to PowerDMARC’s Japan Email Security & DMARC Adoption Report, 74.6% of Japanese domains publish a DMARC record, but only 9.2% actually enforce a strict p=reject policy to block spoofed emails. A massive 55.0% of domains remain stuck in monitoring mode (p=none), offering visibility into domain usage without preventing attacks. While baseline compliance is high, with SPF adoption reaching 95.0%, the vast majority of Japanese organizations have yet to move past monitoring to full enforcement.
How Can You Buy DMARC Solutions in Japan? Three Models
Domestic platforms such as DMARC/25 Analyze, Baremail, and DNSJP come from Japanese vendors with Japanese interfaces. Managed services from security firms and SIers put an engineer on your rollout, so you pay for labor as well as software. Global platforms such as PowerDMARC, Proofpoint, Red Sift, Valimail, dmarcian, and DMARCeye all sell in Japan. The trade-offs are price, language, protocol coverage, and who does the DNS work.
What Should You Look For in a DMARC Solution in Japan?
- Japanese interface and reports. Check the dashboard itself, not only the marketing site. DMARCeye’s website is in Japanese, for example, but its ITreview listing says the management screen is in English.
- Report processing. You need aggregate (RUA) and failure (RUF) report analysis, plus sender identification by name.
- Hosted records. SPF’s 10-lookup limit and sending systems without DKIM support are the most common blockers on the way to p=reject.
- Domain discovery. JSDA expects firms to identify every domain they send from. dmarcian limits Domain Discovery to its Enterprise plan.
- Data location and certifications. dmarcian runs a Japanese instance that keeps data in Japan. PowerDMARC lists SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001, and DMARC/25 Analyze holds ISO/IEC 27017.
- BIMI and VMC. BIMI (Brand Indicators for Message Identification) needs DMARC at quarantine or reject before you can get a Verified Mark Certificate (VMC).

Proofpoint Email Fraud Defense
Proofpoint Email Fraud Defense (EFD) turns DMARC reports into readable dashboards, detects look-alike domains, and comes with managed support. Pricing is not published. Three partners sell it in Japan: NRI Secure is a Proofpoint Platinum partner, NEC sells it as a cloud service that needs only DNS changes, and Nissho Electronics translates Proofpoint’s operations reports into Japanese and reviews them in regular meetings.
Red Sift OnDMARC
Red Sift OnDMARC manages DMARC, SPF, DKIM, BIMI and MTA-STS from one console. After a one-time DNS change, its Dynamic DMARC feature lets you update records inside the platform without touching DNS again. Soliton Systems sells it in Japan and positions it as Cisco’s DMARC visibility solution.
Valimail
Valimail automates DMARC enforcement and BIMI readiness through an automated, identity-based approach that eliminates manual XML report analysis. Its proprietary Instant SPF technology bypasses the traditional 10-DNS-lookup limit, allowing large enterprises to continuously authorize third-party senders without breaking SPF validation. In Japan, Valimail operates through local distribution partners like Cybernet Systems Co., Ltd., providing organizations with localized support and yen-denominated billing. While Valimail Monitor offers a free entry-level tier for basic domain visibility, full enforcement through Valimail Enforce is provided via customized enterprise quotes.
dmarcian
dmarcian sells directly in Japan, with a Japanese-language site and an Asia-Pacific page. Its Japanese instance keeps Japanese customers’ data in Japan, which answers the cross-border transfer question under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI).
DMARCeye
DMARCeye is a Prague-based vendor, founded in 2024, that adds an AI report analyzer and an in-app AI chat to DMARC monitoring. The site and blog are in Japanese, but its ITreview listing says the dashboard is in English, so confirm the current languages in a trial.
Japanese DMARC Solutions: Domestic Platforms
DMARC/25 Analyze (TwoFive)
DMARC/25 Analyze is TwoFive’s cloud service for collecting and visualizing DMARC reports. It includes daily alerts and a policy simulator, and TwoFive announced ISO/IEC 27017 certification for it on June 24, 2026. Pricing is not public.
Best for: Organizations managing routine DMARC reporting.
Baremail DMARC Analysis (LINK Inc.)
Baremail sells DMARC analysis as part of its spam scoring service. A dashboard aggregates reports and filters by source IP, authentication result, and reverse lookup; automatic alerts flag problems; and a test-mail diagnosis checks DNS settings, message format, Message-ID, sending IP, and body text. Every customer gets a usage lecture at launch, and paid premium support covers policy tightening. ITreview lists plans from ¥24,000 to ¥65,000 a month depending on plan and domain count, and iMitsu lists a ¥50,000 setup fee for the spam scoring service. One ITreview reviewer found the add-on pricing hard to follow.
Best for: Teams that want deliverability diagnostics next to DMARC reports.
DNSJP
DNSJP is a Japanese DNS and mail authentication diagnostic service. Starter is ¥980 a month for daily DNS, DMARC, and SSL monitoring of one domain. Pro is ¥4,980 a month and adds DMARC RUA report analysis, hourly monitoring for 20 domains, and 60 days of history. Enterprise has unlimited domains with 15-minute checks and is quoted. RUA analysis starts at Pro, and ITreview shows no reviews yet.
Best for: Small teams that want cheap monitoring.
Managed DMARC Services in Japan
NRI Secure

How Do You Roll Out DMARC in Japan? From p=none to p=reject
- Inventory every domain. Include parked and non-sending domains. JSDA expects firms to identify the domains they email customers from.
- Publish p=none with reporting. Add an RUA address and collect reports until you can name every sender.
- Fix SPF and DKIM alignment. Work through each email service provider (ESP) and SaaS sender. SPF lookup limits and senders that cannot sign with DKIM are the common snags.
- Move to quarantine. Watch for legitimate mail landing in spam and fix those senders first.
- Move to reject. Do it once the reports show clean alignment. DMARC was also revised in May 2026 as RFC 9989, so ask your vendor how it handles the update.
Final Words
DMARC solutions in Japan fall into three camps, and the right pick comes down to who does the work. Choose a domestic platform for a Japanese contract, a managed service when nobody on your team owns DNS and mail, and a global platform when you want hosted records and wider protocol coverage. Whichever you pick, plan for p=reject, not p=none. To try PowerDMARC, start the 15-day free trial or book a demo.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is DMARC mandatory in Japan?
Yes. Google, Yahoo (since February 2024), and Microsoft (since May 2025) require DMARC from bulk senders, so anyone mailing at volume must implement it.
The MIC request is, however, administrative guidance to telecom operators; the JSDA guideline applies to its member securities firms, and the Anti-Phishing Council guideline is a recommendation.
Which DMARC policy do Japanese regulators recommend?
The end goal is p=reject. JSDA tells member firms to move to reject after reviewing reports, and the Anti-Phishing Council guideline recommends it. The MIC request is slightly flexible and asks telecom operators for a quarantine or reject policy. Start at p=none, but plan for reject.
Should I buy a DMARC tool directly or through a Japanese distributor?
Buying directly is the fastest, most direct way to deploy. A Japanese distributor is only necessary if your procurement process specifically requires local Japanese contracts, yen invoicing, or localized onboarding.
Which DMARC solutions offer Japanese-language support?
PowerDMARC (24-hour Japanese support), Baremail (usage lecture and optional premium support), DMARC/25 Analyze from TwoFive, and Proofpoint EFD through NRI Secure, NEC, or Nissho Electronics. dmarcian and DMARCeye have Japanese websites, but DMARCeye lists its dashboard in English, so verify the interface.
How much does a DMARC solution cost in Japan?
Prices run from free to quote-only. PowerDMARC offers a free personal plan and a Basic plan from around ¥1,200 a month globally. DMARCEye costs approximately ¥600 per domain, Baremail lists ¥24,000 to ¥65,000 a month, and Feedtailor’s advisory costs ¥198,000 for three months. Proofpoint, Valimail, and DMARC/25 are quoted.
How long does it take to reach p=reject?
The amount of time to reach p=reject depends on how many sending systems you run and how complex your sending environment is. Through guided enforcement under PowerDMARC, most organizations reach their policy goals within only a few weeks.
