Configuring SPF, DKIM, and DMARC for your domain when using FunnelMaker ensures your marketing and transactional emails reach inboxes instead of being flagged as spam. This setup strengthens your domain’s reputation and protects against spoofing.
Step 1: Add FunnelMaker SPF Record
1. Log in to your DNS hosting provider.
2. Select your domain from the list and click to manage it.
3. Add a new TXT record with the following details:
- Host/Name: Your domain name (or @ if required)
- Value: v=spf1 include:_spf.stgi.net ~all
4. Save the record.
If You Already Have an SPF Record
Domains can only have one SPF record. If you already use another service (like Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or another provider), you must merge FunnelMaker’s SPF mechanism into your existing entry.
- Merge SPF records to combine the values into a single record.
- Replace your old SPF record with the merged version in your DNS.
Step 2: Add FunnelMaker DKIM Record
FunnelMaker provides a DKIM key to sign your messages.
1. Go to your DNS dashboard.
2. Create a new CNAME record:
- Host/Name: kesq._domainkey
- Value/Target: dkim.stgi.net
3. Save the record.
Alternative TXT DKIM Method
If the CNAME DKIM record doesn’t verify within 30 minutes, FunnelMaker allows you to use a TXT-based DKIM record instead:
- Type: TXT
- Host/Name: (shown in account)
- Value: v=DKIM1; k=rsa; p=(shown in account)
(The full public key is provided by FunnelMaker — copy it exactly as shown in your account.)
Step 3: Verify SPF and DKIM in FunnelMaker
1. Log in to your FunnelMaker account.
2. In the top menu, go to Communicate → Emailer
3. Click the SPF/DKIM button.
4. Enter your domain name and click Check Domain.
5. If your DNS records are correctly published, you’ll see green checkmarks.
- If not verified immediately, wait 30–60 minutes and check again (DNS propagation can take time).
- If it still fails, re-check for typos, misconfigurations, or duplicate/conflicting records.
Step 4: Publish a DMARC Record
Once SPF and DKIM are active, add a DMARC record to protect your domain further.
1. Login to PowerDMARC
2. Navigate to Analysis Tools > PowerToolbox > Generator Tools > DMARC Generator
3. In your DNS provider’s console, add a new TXT record with these values:
- Host/Name: _dmarc
Value (initial recommended record):
v=DMARC1; p=none; rua=mailto:[email protected]; ruf=mailto:[email protected]; sp=none; aspf=r;
4. Save the record.
5. Start with p=none (monitoring mode). This allows you to collect reports without affecting email delivery.
6. Once you review the reports and confirm that legitimate services are aligned with SPF and DKIM, you can move to stricter policies like quarantine or reject to block spoofing attempts.
Step 4: Verify and Monitor FunnelMaker SPF, DKIM, and DMARC Records
- Wait up to 24–48 hours for DNS changes to propagate.
- Use a DMARC record checker or domain analyzer tool to confirm your SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records are correctly published.
- Monitor the reports you receive regularly to ensure no legitimate email sources are blocked.
By properly configuring SPF, DKIM, and DMARC for Keap, you can:
- Protect your domain against phishing and spoofing.
- Improve email deliverability and trust with recipients.
- Gain visibility into who is sending emails using your domain.
For automated monitoring, report visualization, and advanced DMARC policy management, you can simplify this process with PowerDMARC’s DMARC management platform.
